Wine Bar Engagement Session

The Bottlehouse is a well-known wine bar built inside an old house in the Madrona neighborhood (owned by the same couple who owns Mr. West Café). It’s a local favorite and Meg & Pete used to visit this spot often when they lived in Seattle. As it didn’t work out as their rehearsal dinner venue, they opted to do their engagement session there instead.

Meg & Pete wanted variety in their engagement session so we split our time between Bottlehouse and the Snoqualmie area near the river. We got such a beautiful cloud-covered day after some rainfall so the trees were lush and the summer flowers in-bloom. It was such a gorgeous backdrop for photos. These two get married at the end of September and we’ll get to do it all over again!

Doing an engagement session with your wedding photographer is such a bonus. We find that it’s such a great way to get to know your couples better, get a feel for your photographer’s working style and start the process of feeling more comfortable with a camera around. We find that our couples who do engagement sessions with us are much more relaxed with the photo process on wedding day.

This session was documented on 35mm and medium format film. To see more engagement sessions, feel free to browse more sessions:
