Yakima Valley Elopement

Emily & Mike’s elopement in the Yakima Valley was such a treat — Eastern Washington’s landscapes are so incredibly different than what we’re used to along the coast so we took every opportunity to soak it in. One of the major benefits of a smaller wedding is that you have so much more control over your schedule. If you want to spend 3 hours taking portraits — you can do that. And that’s what Emily & Mike did. Emily’s family owns a farm in the valley and the area holds a lot of importance to Emily and her family.

We spent the afternoon checking out different spots in the valley — starting with the most incredible desert vista where we did their first look. After that we went along the Yakima River and ended the day at Emily’s parent’s farm where they held an intimate ceremony with family. We were spoiled with the most incredible sunset and ended the night with a family dance party in the barn. This video is so sweet and really encapsulates Emily & Mike’s wedding day in Yakima Valley.
