CANON BEACH ELOPEMENT // OREGON COAST ELOPEMENT // HUG POINT STATE PARK
Tiana & Liam’s Canon Beach elopement in Oregon was the best way to send off the weirdest wedding season, ever. When they reached out to us a few months ago, we were in the middle of quarantine and hadn’t left the house in a while. Having this day to look forward to kept us moving and kept us grounded (cabin fever is forreallll).
Tiana & Liam decided to forego any and all wedding customs and chose the beach as their venue. John and I got to Hug Point State Park early and scouted some locations for photos. We were completely overwhelmed by how beautiful this park was — I’ve truly never seen a waterfall on the beach and it was magical to say the least. Tiana & Liam’s day was simple; a ceremony on the beach officiated by the incredible Carolyn with Oregon Beach Ceremonies followed by portraits to commemorate their union. We got to sign as witnesses which always feels incredibly special. We are so grateful that we have couples who trust us enough to let us sign their wedding documents ❤️
We really encourage couples to consider elopements — especially now. We had such an incredible summer documenting elopements for couples that were not able to have the celebration they had originally planned. This pandemic has been challenging — that much is certain, but it has opened up a really beautiful opportunity for couples to get married in an intimate, stripped-down setting and still have a really rad celebration with all of their loved-ones down the road.
