Vibrant Springtime Arboretum Engagement

SPRING HAS SPRUNG.

Clare & Trace’s Spring Arboretum engagement session could not have been more perfectly timed. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and so was just about everything else. In Seattle, cherry blossom season is…mayhem. We get 2-3 weeks to soak up all the goodness before it’s all gone and we have to wait another year.

I actually met Clare and Trace a couple of years ago at a Superbowl party that we were hosting at our place. They are both originally from California but moved to the Seattle area for work. We were in a Fantasy Football league together for a year but naturally, I was noooo good (lol sports, wut) and dropped out. It’s always so fun to photograph people that you know in your day-to-day life and this was no exception.

The Arboretum is one of my favorite places in Seattle (and lucky for me, I live just down the street from it). It’s an Olmsted Park (which Seattle is lucky to have so many of) and it is so well landscaped and maintained. On a sunny weekend, this place is packed. This park looks radically different at different times of the year and Spring is seriously breathtaking.

Clare & Trace are getting married at Georgetown Ballroom next August and it’s going to be a good one.

Do you love the Arboretum? Me too. Here’s another Arboretum session!

If you want to see wedding portraits photographed at the Arboretum, check out Lauren & Justin’s wedding on the MV Skansonia!
